Our Prescribed Burning Process:

1. Initial Contact & Consultation

You reach out to us via our Contact Form or phone.

We discuss your goals (wildlife habitat improvement, fuel reduction, understory improvement, etc.) and review your property’s location and size.

We answer any initial questions and explain how prescribed fire can benefit your land.
2. Site Visit & Evaluation

We walk your property to assess:

Vegetation type & fuel load

Existing firebreaks or access points
-
Nearby structures, roads and sensitive areas

We take notes, photos and GPS points to create your custom burn plan.
3. Burn Plan Development

We design a site-specific burn plan that follows Georgia Prescribed Burning Act guidelines.

You review and approve the plan before we move forward.
4. Firebreak Preparation

If needed, we install or clear firebreaks to ensure safe containment.

This may include mowing, raking, disking or dozer work.

Existing roads or trails may be used to reduce cost and impact.
5. Permitting & Notifications

We secure your burn permit from the Georgia Forestry Commission.

We notify neighbors, local authorities and any relevant agencies.
6. Burn Day Operations

We arrive on site with a trained crew, water units, ignition tools and safety gear.

Safety briefing for all personnel.

Controlled ignition begins under approved weather conditions.

Fire is carefully monitored and directed to achieve the desired results.
7. Mop-Up & Monitoring

We extinguish any remaining hot spots along firebreaks.

We patrol the burn unit until it’s fully secured.
