Co-Founder, Director of Operations

JOSH DAVIS

Josh brings years of hands-on experience in land management, forestry, and prescribed fire to the Torch + Timber Firekeepers team. He studied Restoration Ecology at Auburn University, building a strong academic foundation in ecosystem health, habitat restoration and conservation practices. Over the years, he has led and assisted on countless burns, gaining extensive knowledge of fire behavior. In recognition of his dedication to stewardship and sustainable land management, Josh was honored as a Georgia Conservation Steward by the America’s Conservation Ag Movement. Whether the goal is improving wildlife habitat, reducing wildfire risk, or restoring native plant communities, Josh approaches every burn with precision, safety and a deep respect for the land. His calm leadership, technical expertise, and boots-on-the-ground knowledge make him an invaluable resource for landowners throughout West Georgia and beyond.

AMY TIPTON

Amy is the heart and soul of Torch + Timber Firekeepers - bringing passion, warmth and a genuine care for people into every project. While new to the fireline , she has quickly proven herself as a skilled Burn Manager with a strong understanding of safety, planning and communication. She thrives on building relationships with landowners, walking them through the process step-by-step - from the first meeting to the last burning ember - and ensuring their goals are met with care and precision. Her work is fueled by a deep belief in the value of prescribed fire as a tool for renewal, habitat restoration and community resilience. Amy is committed to helping Georgia’s landscapes thrive for generations to come.
